Majack Development History

Majack Development was founded in May 2000 by Jeff Cobb and Scott Schmidt The two paired up after Cobb moved to the Vail, Colorado area. Cobb sold his family business in Alabama and decided relocation to a less hectic lifestyle was best for his family. He purchased a home from Schmidt, who was at the time, running his family business, Schmidt Construction. Schmidt, a third generation homebuilder, was building homes in the high end resort communities of Arrowhead and Cordillera, near Vail.

A friendship bloomed and the two decided to tackle an aggressive market together. Cobb brought his expertise in commercial real estate, acquisitions and finance. Schmidt brings expertise in all phases of residential construction and development.

The combined knowledge of the partners provides for the attention to detail required in the grand homes built by Majack Development. Headquarted in Edwards, Colorado, Majack builds high quality single-family residences in the resort communities near Vail, Colorado and Big Sky, Montana.
